He's being drafted ahead of Saquon Barkley, De'Von Achane, Kenneth Walker III, and Derrick Henry despite ranking 8th in explosive run rate but 38th in success rate and 27th in yards after contact per attempt. In nine games played, he averaged below 3.7 yards per carry in five games and was held under 70 rushing yards in six games. While a healthy offensive line and Mike McDaniel should help, Hampton could be part of a three-way committee with Keaton Mitchell and Kimani Vidal, which could severely limit his upside.
