There's only one ball, and it just doesn't seem feasible that Evans can reach 100 targets or 900 yards given all of San Francisco's offensive options.

Evans' 100-target projection unrealistic given Kittle availability and McCaffrey's role.

Steve Krebs projects Mike Evans to fall short of his 903-yard and 100-target projection. Evans played only eight regular-season games last season due to two separate injuries and is already dealing with quad tightness in preseason. While 903 yards may seem attainable, Krebs argues the 100-target number is unrealistic given San Francisco's offensive depth: George Kittle is expected to be available early in the season as a favorite Brock Purdy target, the running back room is led by Christian McCaffrey (400 touches last season), and Kyle Shanahan's scheme emphasizes the run game. Kaelon Black and Sincere McCormick have also looked solid, leaving limited volume for Evans.
