Field Gulls on Anthony Hankerson

Hankerson expected to clear waivers and return to college transfer portal.

The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are expected to waive undrafted free agent running back Anthony Hankerson; according to his agents, Hankerson is hoping to go unclaimed and clear waivers in order to return to college and enter the transfer portal. Hankerson originally signed with the Miami Dolphins after going undrafted but was waived in early August, then signed with the Seahawks a week prior. With college football now effectively being professional sports teams attached to a university, Hankerson plans to enter the transfer portal and return to college football rather than pursue an NFL roster spot.
