Hogs Haven on Athan Kaliakmanis

Kaliakmanis stacking encouraging performances; edge over Hartman for backup role.

Rookie QB demonstrated ability to attack the field vertically with 162 passing yards on 11 completions against Detroit; stretching the field on all three levels on boundary and field sides, showing arm velocity and confidence to attack defenses. The source notes his combination of arm talent and willingness to use it raises his stock, and that offensive coordinator David Blough wouldn't be limited in play calling with him under center. Kaliakmanis has an edge over Sam Hartman and could be in line to be Jayden Daniels' backup when Marcus Mariota's time ends in Washington.
