Gabriel gets extended second-half reps with second-team offense in final preseason game.

Gabriel will start the final preseason game against New England, playing the first half with the second-team offense after limited opportunities in prior games. Coach Todd Monken explicitly stated the team wants to see Gabriel with extended reps: 'We're not playing them because we'd like to see Dillon (Gabriel) more. It worked out last game, that was unfair to him.' Gabriel's roster spot remains uncertain heading into the August 30 cutdown, with most NFL teams keeping only three quarterbacks; he may be retained or traded.
