RotoWire NFL Articles on Omarion Hampton
From the article
Outside-zone rushing was already Omarion Hampton's best per-carry concept last season. He gained 5.1 yards per carry on those runs... This looks like a perfect storm. I think Hampton can finish as one of the top 3 running backs in fantasy.
STACKED’s take
Hampton's elite efficiency and McDaniel's arrival position him for top-3 RB finish at RB8 ADP.
Hampton gained 5.1 yards per carry on outside-zone runs (29.8% of carries) despite playing behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. Coach Mike McDaniel takes over as offensive coordinator after great success with Miami's rushing attack; if he feeds the 220-pound Hampton anywhere close to the 293 touches Achane averaged the last two years, it will be a massive workload. Hampton scored five TDs in nine games last season and averaged 15.1 PPR points per game while recovering from a fractured ankle that cost him eight games; ranked 84th percentile in broken tackle rate and 74th percentile in yards after contact. Jim Coventry's take: perfect storm setup; Hampton can finish as one of the top 3 running backs in fantasy; comfortable taking him early in the second round.
