Warren caught 76 of 112 targets for 817 yards and four touchdowns last season while lining up all over the formation (42.6% slot, 24.4% off-line, 16.4% inline); he ranked in the top 8 percent in yards after the catch and top 2 percent in explosive play rate among tight ends. With Michael Pittman Jr. traded to Pittsburgh, Warren becomes the best possession option in Indianapolis's passing game, and his target total could realistically climb into the 140–155 range. The risk is quarterback Daniel Jones returning from an Achilles injury with a history of missing time; if Riley Leonard or Anthony Richardson takes over, that could cap his ceiling. Warren is being drafted roughly 12 picks after TE3 Colston Loveland in his own tier, and Kirk Cousins is paying that cost for entry into the elite tight end tier.
