Kenneth Walker is the clear lead back in KC. And when I say lead back, I mean LEAD BACK. No other RB on the roster has ever had a season with more than 80 touches. Walker excels with volume, too. In his 25 career games (including playoffs) with 18 or more touches, he averages 18.2 PPG and 110 scrimmage yards.

Kenneth Walker is the clear lead back in Kansas City—no other RB on the roster has ever had a season with more than 80 touches. Walker excels with volume; in his 25 career games (including playoffs) with 18 or more touches, he averages 18.2 PPG and 110 scrimmage yards. Training camp reports suggest the Chiefs want to use Walker more in the passing game; over the past three seasons, among backs with 100-plus targets, Walker ranks sixth at the position in points per target. He'll have plenty of opportunities to crack the end zone in a Patrick Mahomes-led offense. Matthew Berry names Walker to his 2026 preseason Love list.
