STACKED’s take
Positive signalProjection
Drake Maye projects as elite QB1 with A.J. Brown, ranking 2nd in deep-ball EPA/DB.
Since starting his first game, Maye ranks 2nd among all quarterbacks on passes 20+ air yards (min. 500 attempts total) in EPA/DB (1.22), TD/Att (22.5%), and TD/INT (4.5), with Comp% at 4th (42.5%). For 2025 only, EPA/DB improved to 1.48 (2nd), TD/Att at 21.7% (4th), Comp% at 47.8% (3rd), and TD/INT at 5.0 (2nd). His top downfield option has been Kayshon Boutte (35.4 TmTGT%) followed by Kyle Williams and DeMario Douglas—none comparable to A.J. Brown. Adding Brown and Romeo Doubs, plus a projected shift from 52.7% pass rate to ~55/45 run-pass split, improves his argument to be alongside Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson as the top QB off the board in fantasy drafts.
