Elite downfield stats and A.J. Brown trade bolster Maye's case as top-5 QB

Since starting his first game, Maye ranks 2nd among all QBs on passes 20+ air yards (min. 500 attempts) in EPA/DB (1.22) and TD/Att (22.5%), 4th in Comp% (42.5%), and 2nd in TD/INT (4.5). For 2025 only, he ranks 2nd in EPA/DB (1.48), 4th in TD/Att (21.7%), 3rd in Comp% (47.8%), and 2nd in TD/INT (5.0). Adding A.J. Brown—a true alpha wideout and terrific touchdown/end-zone threat—to his previous top downfield option Kayshon Boutte (35.4 TmTGT%) will help Maye avoid regression. With an expected shift from 52.7% pass rate to ~55/45 run-pass split, Maye's elite downfield performance improves his argument to be alongside Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson as the top QB off the board in fantasy drafts.
