Buechele's strong finale performance undermined by Allen's preseason edge and Beane's comments.

Buechele finished 26-of-38 for 196 yards with one two-point conversion in the preseason finale, orchestrating late-game heroics for a one-point victory. However, Kyle Allen's strong preseason work and Beane's public praise suggest Buechele's roster spot is less secure; his significant snaps in the final preseason game may indicate he is auditioning for other opportunities rather than securing the backup role.
