FantasyPros Articles on Bucky Irving
From the article
Like Williams above, I feel that Irving is currently being overdrafted as the RB21, and it is difficult to trust him to stay healthy for an entire season.
STACKED’s take
Irving's RB21 cost unjustified given injury history, Gainwell competition, and pigeonholed role.
After a phenomenal rookie season in 2024, Bucky Irving plummeted to RB33 in 2025, limping through 10 injury-laden games. Irving played through a lingering A/C joint sprain in his shoulder before sustaining a pedal sprain in Week 4 that sidelined him for six games. Though the Buccaneers gave Irving plenty of work when healthy, he couldn't duplicate his rookie explosiveness. The source was initially hopeful for a rebound after Rachaad White left for Washington, but Tampa Bay added Kenneth Gainwell, a superior receiving threat who is an immediate threat to Irving's upside in PPR formats, relegating him to early-down work only. Sean Tucker has also been phenomenal when afforded chances (RB1 in Week 11 with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries). Irving's lengthy injury history coupled with his pigeonholed role on a pass-first offense worries the source. At RB21 ADP, Irving is currently being overdrafted and is difficult to trust to stay healthy for an entire season.
