Dohnte Meyers entered training camp as a relatively unknown player attempting to establish himself after playing in the CFL but has emerged as a preseason standout who the Bengals would take an enormous risk trying to sneak onto the practice squad; in the preseason finale against Philadelphia, he caught three passes for 51 yards on three targets, accounting for 51 of Cincinnati's 60 yards on its opening drive (catches of 9, 17, and 25 yards). He finished the preseason with 11 catches for 121 yards, plus 22 rushing yards, 54 kickoff-return yards, and 45 punt-return yards, shifting the roster question from whether he can make the team to how Cincinnati plans to use him.
