Velling's strong preseason gives undrafted rookie genuine shot at fourth tight end spot.

Velling, an undrafted free agent, had a strong preseason and did a lot of damage as a receiver in the finale against Miami, catching a touchdown pass from Cooper Rush. A really solid summer has given the rookie a genuine shot to stick around as the fourth tight end, though the question is whether the Falcons will keep four tight ends on the 53-man roster (unlikely) or sneak him onto the practice squad.
