Bleeding Green Nation on Carson Steele

Steele led Eagles preseason receivers with 14 catches, 136 yards, 2 TDs.

Steele finished the preseason as the Eagles' leading receiver with 14 receptions for 136 yards and 2 TDs, significantly ahead of other pass-catchers (Darius Cooper: 5 recs/65 yards; Stone Smartt: 7 recs/47 yards; Britain Covey: 5 recs/44 yards, 1 TD). His 21 rushing attempts produced only 59 yards (2.8 average), but the source notes he has made a case for himself and the Eagles might envision using him in a fullback role. If he doesn't stick in Philadelphia, he should find a landing spot elsewhere.
