Van Vooren's TD catch showed tight end vertical stretch potential but won't make roster.

Recently signed tight end Mitch Van Vooren scored a touchdown in the Saints preseason finale that tied the game at 24 and was probably the highlight of the night for the Cowboys offense; won't make the roster but provided a memorable play that served as a cool example of how tight ends can stretch the field vertically when not pre-occupied with pass protection, particularly with right tackle Sebastian Gutierrez sealing the edge cleanly to allow Van Vooren to get open in the middle of the end zone.
