The Jaguars released Mullens, 31, after acquiring Quinn Ewers in a trade. Mullens had joined Jacksonville in March 2025 on a two-year deal but appeared in only five games last season, completing all three of his passes for 19 yards. With Ewers and starter Trevor Lawrence on the roster, plus Carter Bradley and rookie Joey Aguilar, Mullens was expendable ahead of the 53-man roster cutdown.
