Howell named Cowboys backup QB after Milton's release.

Howell secured the backup quarterback role for the Cowboys after the team released Joe Milton on Monday. With Milton gone from the 53-man roster, Howell will presumably be the backup to Dak Prescott to start the season. Howell spent last season with the Seattle Seahawks and was most recently a starter during the 2023 campaign with the Washington Commanders.
