The Seahawks on Monday waived former Oregon State running back Anthony Hankerson after signing the undrafted rookie last week. Hankerson, 22, intends to enter the transfer portal and return to the NCAA, according to a report from CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.

The Seahawks waived undrafted rookie running back Anthony Hankerson on Monday after signing him last week. Hankerson, 22, intends to enter the transfer portal and return to the NCAA rather than pursue an NFL career. He had previously been waived by the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 10 before joining Seattle, where he appeared in one preseason game against the Titans on Aug. 23, recording 24 snaps (18 offensive, six special teams), 10 rushing yards on five carries, and two receptions for nine yards.
