Jaydon Blue signed to Eagles practice squad after being waived by Cowboys at final cuts; he failed to win the backup running back job in Dallas. Blue is 22 years old, 5-9, 198 lbs, drafted by Cowboys in fifth round (pick 149) in 2025 after running 4.38-second 40-yard dash at Combine (second-fastest among running backs). As a rookie with Cowboys, he played in five games with 38 rushing attempts for 129 yards (3.4 average) and 1 touchdown, plus 1 catch for 5 yards. Eagles now have three active running backs (Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley) and three on practice squad (Dameon Pierce, Carson Steele, Blue).
