Allen is worth rostering at the end of the bench in deeper leagues as a handcuff to Breece Hall, who suffered a groin injury with a 2-to-3 week timetable for return. Hall is unquestionably the Jets' lead running back, but Allen is currently healthy and provides insurance against Hall setbacks before or during Week 1. If Hall comes out of Week 1 unscathed, Allen becomes a perfect cut candidate for waiver wire pickups.
