Post-hype sleeper with elite air yards share; Geno Smith upgrade unlocks upside.

Mitchell is a textbook post-hype sleeper at ADP 217 (WR81) with significant upside if quarterback play improves. In 8 games for the Jets, Mitchell posted 75.3% route participation, 14.7-yard aDOT, 52.6% air yards share, 23.6% target share, 0.26 TPRR, 24 receptions (3.0 per game), 301 receiving yards (37.6 per game), 1.37 YPRR, 6 end-zone targets, 2 TDs, and 5 drops (8.6%). While he had drop issues and inefficiency, he ranked first among 61 WRs with 150+ routes from Week 11-18 in air yards share and had impressive target numbers and expected fantasy points. Among 84 WRs with 250+ routes, Mitchell tied for 34th in overall average separation and 21st in average separation when aligned wide. The Jets' QB situation was dire (Brady Cook 179 dropbacks, Tyrod Taylor 79, Justin Fields 32, Isaiah Williams 1), but Geno Smith should be a significant upgrade over that motley crew in 2025, unlocking Mitchell's potential.
