We have a big strong man who can move men out of their gaps in the run game and hold up on the edge in pass protection. It's a limited skillset, but he looks to be very good at both of those things.

The source conducted film review of Redman's three preseason games and identified his core strength: elite in-line blocking and gap movement on run plays, plus solid pass protection against edge defenders. His receiving game is limited—he operates mainly within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage on quick concepts and occasionally vertical routes, but lacks the athleticism (6'6", 263 lb, 4.95 40-time) to win consistently downfield. The Packers traded for him to fit a zone-oriented running game where his blocking prowess and limited but functional receiving role complement the offense without asking him to do things he cannot do.
