Milton lost the Cowboys backup quarterback competition to Sam Howell and has cleared waivers to become a free agent. Since entering the league in 2022, Milton has appeared in only five games and has not started any game technically, though he played the majority of a Week 17 game against the Bills with the Patriots in his rookie season.
