Footballguys on Jadarian Price
From the article
what has stood out the most is Price's pass-catching and apparent knack for understanding pass protection. Those were two things he wasn't asked to do at Notre Dame. He had 15 career receptions before leaving school... Macdonald noted early in training camp that Price was catching plenty of passes and that the Seahawks were finding multiple ways to use him out of the backfield... Sam Darnold came away with a strong assessment of the rookie. "He's a special player," Darnold said, later adding that Price can contribute as a receiver and as a ball carrier who can be effective running both inside and on the edge.
STACKED’s take
Price emerging as three-down back with pass-catching and protection skills; Darnold calls him special.
Jadarian Price has demonstrated unexpected pass-catching ability and pass-protection skills that were not required at Notre Dame, where he had only 15 career receptions. The Seahawks began testing his receiving potential immediately in training camp. Head coach Mike Macdonald noted early that Price was catching plenty of passes and the team was finding multiple ways to use him out of the backfield. During joint practice with Tennessee, Price made an over-the-shoulder catch for a big gain, broke a run from between the tackles to the outside, and recorded multiple receptions. Quarterback Sam Darnold assessed Price as "a special player" who can contribute as both a receiver and ball carrier effective running inside and on the edge.
