FantasyPros Articles on Joe Burrow
From the article
For me, it's Joe Burrow, who's coming off the board as the QB4 based on Real-Time ADP. Even in a year where quarterbacks are being pushed down the board because the position is so deep, the fifth round feels too pricey for a guy who rarely runs.
STACKED’s take
Burrow's QB4 price is too high without rushing upside; efficiency metrics suggest regression risk.
Wolf Trelles-Heard argues Joe Burrow at ADP 53 (QB4) is overpriced for a quarterback who rarely runs. Besides Dak Prescott, Burrow is the only top-12 drafted QB offering little rushing upside. For Burrow to return value, he must stay healthy and produce another 4,500-yard, 40-TD season; he threw for 4,918 yards and 43 TDs in 2024 but still only reached QB3 in fantasy points per game. Burrow struggled in efficiency metrics last year: 19th in fantasy points per dropback (0.51), 21st in EPA (+69.8), and 24th in red zone completion percentage (52.4%). Without rushing upside to raise his floor, Burrow needs an outlier passing campaign to pay off; Trelles-Heard prefers Prescott two rounds later or mobile QBs who offer leg upside.
