STACKED’s take
Burden's second-half surge projects to top-12 WR finish with full-time role
Luther Burden III emerged as a legitimate offensive weapon in the second half of his rookie season. From Weeks 10-18, he posted a WR5 overall finish with 2.67 yards per route run, beaten only by Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Nico Collins, and Zay Flowers. Hand-selected by Ben Johnson and with DJ Moore now in Buffalo, Burden will almost certainly be a focal point in the Chicago offense alongside Colston Loveland. Extrapolating his second-half efficiency across a full 17-game season in a full-time role would lock him into a top-12 finish. Burden is valued as WR23 in PPR formats but has the fantasy ceiling to post a top-10 overall finish and could be valued similarly to a young Amon-Ra St. Brown by midseason.
