Tagovailoa signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Falcons following his release from the Miami Dolphins in March. He completed seven of eight passes for 95 yards and lost a fumbled snap in Atlanta's 17-12 win over his old team in the preseason finale in Miami on Friday. The Falcons have not yet named a starter for Week 1 on the road against the Steelers on Sept.13.

Tua signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Falcons after his March release from Miami. He completed 7 of 8 passes for 95 yards in Atlanta's preseason finale win over the Dolphins on Friday. The Falcons have not yet named a starter for Week 1 against the Steelers on Sept. 13, with Tua and Michael Penix Jr. as the top two options on the roster alongside Cooper Rush and undrafted rookie Jack Strand. Tua dealt with lower back tightness during training camp in July.
