Aiyuk remains on the reserve/left squad list and does not factor into the 49ers' immediate plans; GM John Lynch stated "nothing has changed" with Aiyuk and "he's just not on our roster," meaning San Francisco did not allocate a 53-man roster spot to him. The 49ers have instead built their wide receiver group around Mike Evans, De'Zhaun Stribling, and Deebo Samuel, effectively moving forward without Aiyuk.
