Vannett joins Ravens practice squad; veteran blocker reunites with coordinator Doyle.

Signed to Ravens practice squad on Tuesday; 33-year-old veteran tight end with a decade of blocking experience. Played only 10 games last year (four for Vikings, six for Rams) with 131 total snaps. Connection to Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle from their 18-month stint together in New Orleans (2021-2022) likely facilitated the move. Ravens are short on experienced tight ends with rookies Matt Hibner, Josh Cuevas, and Ty Pezza showing promise as pass-catchers in preseason but lacking in run-game execution.
