Including the preseason, he has drawn four targets on 15 routes for a 27% target rate. Carolina's current regime selected Brooks 46th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, giving it plenty of incentive to find out what the 23-year-old can do with a larger role. Head coach Dave Canales has already said Brooks will have an opportunity to compete and that the backs could split work if Hubbard is healthy for Week 1, positioning him to establish himself as Carolina's RB1 sooner rather than later.
