Brooks has a much higher ceiling than Hubbard and a better skill set. Carolina appears comfortable riding the 'hot hand' at the position, so if Brooks comes out of the gate on fire, he could establish himself as the lead back. He appeared fully healthy during preseason, handling eight rushing attempts for 23 yards and a touchdown.
