Unfortunately, Olsen's peak would come to a rather abrupt end as his 2017 and 2018 seasons were derailed by recurring problems with his foot. He was able to get healthy for the 2019 season, but at age 34 and coming off two years full of foot problems, he wasn't the same player. He finished that year with just 597 yards receiving and two touchdowns. The Panthers released him after that season.
