Eagles running backs coach Jemal Singleton is part of a coaching group developing Sean Mannion's version of the West Coast Offense. The system emphasizes wide-zone running schemes, lots of under-center and play-action looks, and pure-progression reads from the quarterback as opposed to coverage-read schemes. Singleton has extensive West Coast Offense experience from coaching at Air Force, with the Raiders under Jon Gruden, with the Bengals under Zac Taylor, and has observed how different coaches twist and adjust the foundational system.
