Slovis impresses Packers, lands on practice squad with clearer roster path than Arizona.

Slovis impressed during Cardinals camp and preseason but was the odd man out at QB since most NFL clubs keep three quarterbacks. After rookie Carson Beck excelled in the Hall of Fame Game, Slovis was released. Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was impressed after seeing Slovis in joint practices and signed him to their practice squad. Slovis may have an opportunity to be brought up to the main roster because the Packers only kept two quarterbacks (Jordan Love and Tyrod Taylor), giving him a clearer path to active roster consideration than he had in Arizona.
