LaFleur optimistic Love will play Week 1 despite high-ankle sprain recovery.

Cardinals rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, the third overall pick, suffered a high-ankle sprain on Aug. 13 in a preseason game against the Raiders and has not practiced or played since. However, coach Mike LaFleur indicated progress on the practice field Monday, stating Love "was out there moving around today" and that he would have a better idea of Love's status after Wednesday's injury report. When asked about his optimism for Love to play against the Chargers in Week 1, LaFleur said "Yeah, I feel good," suggesting the coach expects Love to be available for the season opener.
