After a surprising turn of events this offseason, including the release of second-year backs Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah, it appears Malik Davis is locked into the Dallas Cowboys RB2 role... I'm not super worried. One thing worth mentioning about Davis' prospect profile... is his receiving ability... I view him as a must-add in all formats before this season kicks off.

Malik Davis, rostered in only 18% of leagues, is locked into the Dallas Cowboys RB2 role following the offseason release of Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah. Despite question marks around his individual talent profile, the Cowboys backfield environment is conducive to fantasy scoring. Davis' college receiving profile (0.06 avg FDPRR at 82nd percentile, 0.18 avg TPRR at 75th percentile, 1.52 avg YPRR at 71st percentile from 2017-2022) bodes well for fantasy upside if Javonte goes down, making him a must-add in all formats before the season.
