John Harbaugh told Ian O'Connor that the Ravens were very intrigued by Kaepernick as a free agent in 2017, citing his talent and Harbaugh's inside knowledge from his brother Jim (Kaepernick's former 49ers coach). Harbaugh emphasized that Kaepernick 'proved he could make plays' and that the organization 'liked the fit,' though Kaepernick would have been a backup to Joe Flacco at the time. The signing fell through after team owner Steve Bisciotti resisted the move and Kaepernick's girlfriend posted an image of Ray Lewis and Bisciotti, causing the visit to be cancelled.
