Fantasy Life Articles on Cam Ward

Ward could be a regularly viable superflex option this season, and in a good-ol' fashion #RevengeGame against his former team, Saleh could look to embarrass the defense he once coached by pouring on the points
STACKED’s take
Ward's new coaching staff and WR upgrades offer upside, but Week 1 caution warranted.
Ward was flat-out bad as a passer last season (5.8 AY/A, 59.8% completion rate, league-high 55 sacks) and paltry as a runner (39-159-2 rushing). However, with a new coaching staff (HC Robert Saleh, OC Brian Daboll), a renovated WR room (Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson to go with Calvin Ridley), and natural second-year improvement, Ward could be a regularly viable superflex option this season. In a revenge game against his former team, Saleh could look to embarrass the Jets defense by pouring on points. The game total is only 38.5, but Freedman has the over as a four-star bet with a projection of 41.8. Freedman cautions that Ward could still suck in Week 1 and advises against starting him in Guillotine Leagues.
