Despite being a second-round rookie last year, Shough balled out after the Week 11 bye as both a passer (256.9 yards per game) and runner (25.0 yards). Freedman lists Shough as one of his 2026 fantasy favorites with breakout upside in his second season. The Lions' safety duo of SS Brian Branch (Achilles, PUP) and FS Kerby Joseph (knee, PUP) are both out to start the year, providing a defensive injury upgrade. For the season, Freedman likes Shough to go over 3,499.5 passing yards.
