McConkey projects for 54.5 receiving yards in Week 1 vs. Arizona and is positioned as an upside WR2. He finished WR14 as a rookie but rug-pulled to WR39 per-game in his sophomore season. New OC Mike McDaniel's scheme will be more quick-hitting and play-action heavy, fitting McConkey's quickness. The Chargers will use fewer eligibles in routes (FB and multiple TE sets), making it easier for WRs on the field to earn targets. McConkey may be subbed out for better blocker WR3 Tre' Harris, but still has a huge weekly ceiling. Arizona's defense was 18th against fantasy WRs last season and will be better with health, but McConkey will mostly face CB2 Garrett Williams and Denzel Burke as the flanker and slot (best matchup in the secondary). The Chargers project for a league-high 28.25 points this week.
