Yahoo Sports NFL on Jaylen Waddle
From the article
Jaylen Waddle (at KC) - 53.5 proj. receiving yards. Bo Nix led all QBs in dropbacks last year, and over the past two seasons, the Broncos are leading in screens. Those gimme looks will pivot from Marvin Mims Jr. and Troy Franklin over to Waddle, who should have the best usage of his NFL career.
STACKED’s take
Waddle projects 53.5 yards but should see best usage of career; projection feels light.
Waddle projects for 53.5 receiving yards in Week 1 at Kansas City and should have the best usage of his NFL career. Bo Nix led all QBs in dropbacks last year, and over the past two seasons, the Broncos lead in screens; those gimme looks will pivot from Marvin Mims Jr. and Troy Franklin to Waddle. His explosives will come on crossing routes and posts off play action. The matchup is difficult: Kansas City plays everyone tight with sixth-overall pick CB1 Mansoor Delane tracking Waddle, plus underrated CB2 Nohl Williams and veteran slot La'Jarius Sneed. Kansas City had the third-most difficult defense against fantasy WRs last year when adjusting for schedule. The Broncos project for just 20.5 points on the road, and Waddle's projected 8.5 targets by betting markets should lead to more than 53.5 receiving yards.
