Three passes, three picks. That's all it took to turn what had been a quite solid performance into one of the worst of Maye's career, and to lose the Patriots the game.

Maye threw three fourth-quarter interceptions after a controlled first three quarters, costing the Patriots the game.

Drake Maye's decision-making in the fourth quarter cost the Patriots the game. Entering the fourth quarter, Maye had completed 17 of 22 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown with a 5.8 yards per attempt—a low but purposeful rate reflecting the game plan to avoid long-developing plays against Seattle's pass rush. The Patriots held a 10-3 lead entering the final period. However, Maye then threw three interceptions on the last three drives: an unnecessary deep shot to Romeo Doubs into disciplined coverage, too much aggressiveness on a third-and-long, and a head-scratching lack of situational awareness while in field goal range. Maye acknowledged the recklessness: 'We had the game under control...I lost patience, and it cost us. Decisions that cost us the game on my part.'
