Stroud's playoff collapse overshadows 14th-ranked passing offense finish.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud's efforts in Houston's wildcard win against the Steelers and divisional-round loss to the Patriots were described as 'the stuff of nightmares.' Despite the Texans gradually emerging from mediocrity as the 2025 season wore on and finishing ranked 14th in passing offense, all of that progress was wiped away after those two extremely ugly playoff performances. If Stroud and offensive coordinator Nick Caley are trying to silence the critics, they're going to have to do a lot better than 14th in 2026.
