Jaylen Warren has been the de facto receiving RB. But two things stand out to me. Rushing Rate (Weeks 9-18): 67% (Dowdle), 29% (Warren)

Warren's target advantage may not translate to fantasy value; Dowdle more efficient.

The Steelers RB has been the de facto receiving back but may not maintain his role advantage over Rico Dowdle. In weeks 9-18 of 2025, Dowdle posted a 67% rushing rate versus Warren's 29%, a 13% target share versus 8%, and a 100% goal-line rate versus 0%. While Warren earned more targets overall, Dowdle was more efficient with his receptions (1.21 vs 1.18 YPRR). HC Mike McCarthy praised both backs equally, suggesting workloads may not be as defined as expected. Pittsburgh's offensive line additions and new receiver could create a modern offense where Dowdle profiles as the better option.
