Monangai will maintain supporting role to Swift in Ben Johnson's Bears offense.

Monangai formed one of league's best running back duos with D'Andre Swift in 2025, combining for 1,870 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Swift found end zone 10 times and finished RB14 overall. Under Bears head coach Ben Johnson (architect of Gibbs-Montgomery split in Detroit), Monangai will continue to have a role but Swift will play lead role given Swift's high level of play (4.87 yards per carry average last season).
