Jaxson Dart is positioned for a strong Week 1 matchup against Dallas' revamped pass defense. Last year after taking over as the Giants' starter, Dart finished as QB7 in fantasy points per game; excluding his Week 16 wet fart game against Minnesota (one fantasy point, 13 attempts, 33 yards), he averaged 22.5 fantasy points per game—a pace that would have made him QB1 for the season. Dart showcased elite rushing ability with seven rushing attempts and 40.6 rushing yards per game (second-most among quarterbacks behind only Justin Fields) while ranking 23rd in CPOE, 19th in highly accurate throw rate, and tenth in hero throw rate among 38 qualifying passers. He also ranked fifth in fantasy points per dropback despite dealing with the 12th-highest drop rate. Dallas added Rashan Gary, Cobie Durant, Jalen Thompson, and Caleb Downs this offseason, but in Weeks 12-18 last year they allowed the most fantasy points per dropback, second-most yards per attempt, and fifth-highest CPOE, making them at least a league-average matchup with upside to be very good for Dart.
