I can't wait to see Malik Willis in his first start for the Dolphins...Willis' rushing ability gives him an incredibly high ceiling and floor for Week 1.
STACKED’s take
Willis' elite rushing floor and passing efficiency metrics create high ceiling/floor against Raiders.
Malik Willis is positioned for an intriguing Week 1 start for Miami despite limited starting experience. Over the last two seasons, Willis has posted a 5.6% big-time throw rate (118 dropbacks, per PFF), 10.9 yards per attempt, and averaged 44.8 rushing yards per game—metrics that would have ranked eighth-best in big-time throw rate among all quarterbacks with at least 110 dropbacks last year (behind Caleb Williams) and led the NFL in yards per attempt. His rushing yardage mark would have ranked first, fourth, and third among quarterbacks over the last three years. Willis faces a remade Raiders' defense that added Quay Walker, Kwity Paye, Nakobe Dean, and Taron Johnson. Last year, the Raiders allowed the tenth-highest passer rating, ninth-highest passing success rate, and tenth-highest EPA per dropback. Willis' rushing ability gives him an incredibly high ceiling and floor for Week 1.
