Cowboys running back Malik Davis is scheduled to have hip surgery on Saturday and be placed on injured reserve. He was injured in today's practice. Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said on 105.3 'The Fan' on Friday that Davis had a 'pretty serious' injury and could be out for a while.

Malik Davis suffered a hip injury during Friday practice and was carted off the field. He is scheduled for hip surgery on Saturday and will be placed on injured reserve. Cowboys COO Stephen Jones characterized the injury as 'pretty serious' and said Davis could be out for an extended period of time, missing at least Sunday's game against New York and likely much longer.
