Rookie running back Emmett Johnson shared the backfield with Kenneth Walker III in Week 1, contributing 68 yards over 10 touches. Head coach Andy Reid praised Johnson's contact balance and yards after contact: "Emmett did a nice job too when he had an opportunity to get in there. Both of these guys' contact balance is ridiculous, so they got a lot of yards after contact, and that's a special thing to have there." Johnson's role appears secondary to Walker's lead-back usage.
